Terms of Use

The horacalc calculators are free and need no sign-up. By using them you agree to the terms below.

1. Who runs horacalc

horacalc.com is an independent project. Contact details are on the contact page.

2. The service

horacalc offers free calculators for hours, time cards and dates. No sign-up is needed. There is no guarantee that the site or a calculator is always available or stays the same.

The calculators apply the rules and defaults described on each page, such as overtime after 40 hours a week at 1.5 times the regular rate (federal FLSA), an optional daily overtime threshold, or US federal and England & Wales holidays. Results are estimates. They are not legal, payroll, tax or accounting advice, and they only reflect contract, state or union rules if you enter them. For definitive answers, ask your employer’s HR or payroll team, the relevant labor authority or a lawyer.

4. No warranty and limitation of liability

The calculators are built and tested with care. Even so, the results and content are provided “as is”, without any warranty that they are correct, complete or up to date. To the extent the law allows, horacalc is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from relying on its results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

The texts, tables and design of horacalc are protected by copyright to the extent the law allows. The results you get are, of course, yours to use, print and share freely.

horacalc links to laws, government pages and other sources. Each site’s owner is responsible for its content.

7. Changes

These terms may change, for example when new calculators or features are added. The version published on this page applies.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where you live, including its mandatory consumer protection rules.
